Monday Nature Mystery

We are pleased to announce the winner of our Monday Nature Mystery, Linda McBridePlease email us your snail mail address and preference for a hat or tote bag to: [email protected]

Congratulations to Linda for correctly identifying Kirtland’s Warbler (Setophaga kirtlandii). According to our good friends at All About Birds, this striking warbler breeds "in young Jack Pine scrublands that occur in Wisconsin and adjacent parts of Wisconsin and Ontario." At one time it was on the Endangered Species List. Successful partnerships helped them recover to over 2,300 breeding pairs. It was delisted in 2019.
