For almost an entire year now, courts across the country have dismissed case after case brought forth by Republicans trying to spread the Big Lie.

Just last week, a judge in Georgia dismissed a lawsuit brought against individual members of a county election board. As is their habit these days, spreaders of the Big Lie had attempted to sue anyone they could over election fraud.

They had no evidence, and no grounds to sue. The case was dismissed.

Despite loss after loss in court, Republicans and their allies continue to fight their losing battle. As they say, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome.

But this took up time in a real courtroom, and it’s part of a larger pattern across the country as Donald Trump and other members of the GOP continue to spread misinformation and lies about election fraud. This lie is dangerous, and it’s past time the GOP stopped wasting time and money trying to make something out of nothing.

By continuing to perpetuate this lie, both in and out of American courtrooms, they’re trying to keep the door open for Donald Trump to run again in 2024.
