Friend,
It's time for Mark Zuckerberg to come out from behind his screen and sit in front of my Senate committee to answer for the damage Facebook is doing to our kids and our country.
Just the other week, a courageous whistleblower – former Facebook product manager Frances Haugen – revealed to the world that the social media giant knowingly and consistently prioritizes profits over the safety of its users. Haugen's testimony and trove of documentation demonstrate how Facebook amplified misinformation and hateful rhetoric, and – chillingly – buried information suggesting that their products harm kids' mental health and well-being.
In the days since the bombshell testimony, Zuckerberg has dismissed Haugen in a demeaning statement, sent his PR team to repeat generalities, and made no commitment to real action. He has offered no apologies, no admissions, no acknowledgement. He takes no responsibility, and yet Mark Zuckerberg is responsible.
Let's be clear: The buck for Facebook stops with Mark Zuckerberg, the platform's founder and CEO. It's time for him to address what he will do to keep his platform safe for its billions of users. But I need your help to hold Zuckerberg accountable.
You see, on the one hand, Facebook's leaders say Congress should pass reforms to make social media safer. But on the other hand, they unleash millions of dollars, armies of lobbyists and lawyers, and blizzards of ads to do the complete opposite. Only through open, honest congressional testimony can we get to the bottom of Zuckerberg's actions and compel him to take action.
That's why I'm looking for 750 supporters to join me in holding Mark Zuckerberg accountable, and I need you to speak out before a hard and fast deadline at 11:59 p.m. tonight. Click here to make your voice heard now:

Make no mistake, this is a moment of reckoning for Facebook on par with what happened with Big Tobacco. Back then, Big Tobacco deceived the public about their own internal data proving the health dangers of smoking, just like Facebook is trying to hide their own research about the dangers of their product. As Connecticut's attorney general, I led and won a 46-state lawsuit holding Big Tobacco accountable for their wrongdoing. Now, I'm determined to hold Facebook accountable.
I'm grateful to have you fighting with me.
Thanks for all you do,
Dick
