** ACT NOW--Senate to Consider Voting Rights Act on Wednesday
------------------------------------------------------------

Now is the time to contact our senators regarding voting rights. Federal standards are needed more than ever. The Senate will be voting on the Freedom to Vote Act (S.2747) on Wednesday.

The Freedom to Vote Act is supported by Senator Joe Manchin. We need Senators Kelly and Sinema to come out loud and clear in support of this bill.

We want to see a path forward to pass it, knowing that there is almost no way Manchin will get ten Republican senators to support it.

Therefore, we need a carve out to the filibuster for voting rights and/or we need a talking filibuster to get S.2747 passed.

This cannot wait. Call, email, Resistbot, or text our senators today or tomorrow. If you vote in another state, contact those senators, regardless of party. Use the talking points above about the need to modify the filibuster and the importance of passing voting rights legislation. Contact information for all senators can be found at:
