Conservative Intel is excited to partner with Pat Cross Cartoons! We’re big fans of his art and think you will be too. We’ll be publishing his latest work as soon as it’s dry, and spreading it far and wide. Who doesn’t love a good political cartoon? Political cartooning has been a tradition in the United States since Ben Franklin’s famous “Join, or Die” illustration in 1754. Franklin published the evocative image to unite the young American colonies against their oppressors, and Pat Cross is continuing the tradition with wit and whimsy. When I was a kid I didn’t believe in Santa Claus. I believed in the United States of America. To me, the Founding Fathers were perfect men, the United States military was composed of 1.8 million demigods, and every day was the Fourth of July. My opinions have matured a bit since then, but the core of my love for country has remained constant. Around the time I discovered my love for America I also discovered my love for drawing, and it didn’t take me long to realize that my skill with a pen and paper far surpassed my skill with a word processor. Ever since, I have endeavored to express my ideas with pictures. I love drawing. I love America. I love the Big Man upstairs. My art is basically the result of putting these three elements into a petri dish and letting them brew for a few years. The result may be a diverse group of eukaryotic single-celled organisms, or it could be a piece of smoked gouda aged to perfection, best served with a glass of 1776 Merlot. My hope is that you will find my work thought-provoking, insightful, profound and maybe, just maybe, a bit humorous. May God bless you and may He bless America! ~ Pat Cross |
