In recent weeks, Donald Trump has begun to resurface at political rallies across the country, and even Republicans who denounced the January 6th insurrection are now openly embracing his dangerous and authoritarian lies.
In Iowa, Trump called the election “rigged.” Lie.
In Virginia, Trump called into a rally where people said the pledge of allegiance to a flag flown by a member of the violent mob who attacked the Capitol on January 6th. Disturbing.
In Georgia, Trump actually questioned if Obama won re-election in 2012. Are you kidding?
This rhetoric isn’t new, but it is getting even worse. And it's clear that this is the standard fare that the GOP plans to peddle as they seek to win back control of the House and Senate in 2022.
