John,
Today is the anniversary of the Clean Water Act of 1972, a critical environmental law that sets a national standard for our water quality.
Unfortunately, the Trump EPA, led by climate deniers, revised key pieces of the Clean Water Act and removed protections from certain waterways. This was all while their broader environmental deregulation put our country at even greater risk of pollution.
It's no secret that the climate crisis doesn't impact everyone equally. Communities of color and people with lower incomes are more likely to live in polluted areas with worse water, land, and air quality. This can lead to higher rates of illnesses like asthma and higher rates of early death.
The Trump era perpetuated this crisis for far too long, and now Diana is fighting to protect our environment.
Earlier this year, Diana sponsored and passed legislation to curb methane emissions, and her bill to protect 660,000 acres of Colorado land is being considered by the Senate.
She's committed to keeping our land, air, and water free from pollution to protect our people, and she needs to know you have her back.
On the anniversary of the Clean Water Act, we're asking you to join Diana in the fight for environmental justice. Add your name now >>
