Indivisibles,

We’ve told you a lot recently about some of the specific pieces of our
work on impeachment -- our ad campaigns, calls to members of Congress,
etc. So today we want to take a step back and round up all the different
parts of our impeachment plan. (And we’ll be upfront: after we give you
the rundown on our work, we’re going to ask you to [ [link removed] ]donate to make it
all happen.)

Our big strategy on impeachment boils down to this: we need to build an
unprecedented amount of pressure on Congress because we know it’s the only
way to get them to do their jobs and hold Trump accountable for his
crimes.

Every piece of our strategy is crucial to building the movement that will
keep the impeachment process moving. Our work has always been about
grassroots power, and we know it’s up to us to harness that power at this
pivotal moment for our democracy.

The Major Strategy Pieces

 1. A massive ad campaign -- We’ve launched targeted digital ads in key
congressional districts nationwide. These ads are helping to generate
constituent pressure on House Republicans to put democracy before
party and vote to impeach. We’re spending $59,000 to keep all our ads
live. [ [link removed] ]Click here to watch one of the ads and, if you’re inspired,
chip in to support our work.

 2. Guides and resources -- We’re updating our [ [link removed] ]guide to impeachment and
all our democracy resources regularly so that our website is a
one-stop hub for all things impeachment. We’re also hosting
[ [link removed] ]impeachnow.org, where movement partners nationwide can gather to
register events and stay informed. Web hosting costs us $1,000 a
month, which is an important expense because we know having a central
place for activists to get organized is key to winning this fight.

 3. Organizing on the ground -- We’re providing the tools activists need
to host events and rallies in their communities to put real, visible
pressure on their representatives on impeachment. So far, activists
have planned more than [ [link removed] ]140 events and town hall actions, and we’re
spending $8,000 to keep our event map live on [ [link removed] ]impeachnow.org --
that’s the kind of nationwide engagement it’ll take to show Congress
we’re serious.

 4. Rapid-response work -- When there’s a key update on Trump’s crimes,
our rapid-response team sends text messages with action items -- like
when we drove 12,000 calls into House offices in just a few short
hours a couple weeks ago. These are important moments for building
power and pressure on impeachment, and we do our best to plan for
them, but sometimes we have to drop everything to respond to new
developments (which is why, last month, we went $22,000 over our
budget on texts!).

 5. Impeachment Daily -- Every weekday, we’re posting a [ [link removed] ]video roundup
of all the most important impeachment news. We know it can be hard to
follow every new crime and every pivotal testimony, so our Director of
Democracy Policy, Meagan Hatcher-Mays, breaks down all the news you
need to know to stay on top of what’s happening with impeachment.

All this work happens because Indivisibles everywhere get involved on a
massive national scale. As always our FIRST ask is for you to get involved
and call your representatives. But beyond that, our next ask is for help
in funding this movement. The truth is, to build a movement that’s
accountable to the grassroots, we need our work to be grassroots-funded.
And that means, you guessed it, we do have to ask for money, regularly.
[ [link removed] ]So please, donate $10 right now to keep all our plans in motion. We
truly can’t do any of this without reaching our goal, and we can’t do that
without you.

The costs that are harder to count...

Our impeachment strategy has a lot of moving pieces -- and we’re making
serious investments in making it all work. We talked above about some of
the specific projects and particular costs associated with them, but of
course one of our biggest resources is time: Indivisible organizers and
other staff are building the tools and resources that we provide to groups
and activists.

Staff all across the organization are working hard every day to keep
Indivisibles up to date, keep all our tools working, and build the
strategy we need to impeach. If you came into our office one day this
week, here’s what you might find:

* Organizers, working directly with [ [link removed] ]local groups, connecting them
with the resources and tools they need to build strong, locally-based
impeachment pressure and building an effective and coordinated
movement. (Actually, you probably won’t find them in our office, most
of them are “in turf” which means they’re spread across the country,
near where the groups they work with are based!)

* The policy team, following the news and providing up-to-the-minute
analysis on the latest developments. They’re briefing Indivisible
staff, tweeting out explainers, and gathering info from key players to
develop the most effective impeachment strategy.

* The video team, recording and editing the latest edition of
[ [link removed] ]Impeachment Daily. It stars our Director of Democracy Policy,
Meagan Hatcher-Mays, who’s bringing the quick, incisive analysis
Indivisibles need to understand the Trump team’s latest crimes.

* Writers, preparing ad content to pressuring key members of Congress
nationwide to vote yes on impeachment, writing emails (like this one!)
to update Indivisibles on all our work, and developing messaging to
build a broad base of support for impeachment.

* Designers, creating the graphics we use in Impeachment Daily, in our
ad campaigns, and across social media to get the word out and involve
even more activists in the impeachment movement.

* Web developers, keeping the guides on our website up-to-date and
building movement resources like [ [link removed] ]impeachnow.org to organize and
amplify the efforts of thousands of activists.

That is -- to put it lightly -- a LOT of work.

All this work is worth it. This is about protecting our democracy. But we
literally cannot make it happen without support from people like you. We
developed our [ [link removed] ]fundraising philosophy with a deep conviction that we
need to be accountable to the people, not to corporations or political
parties. That’s why we need our funding to come from the people -- so we
answer to you and no one else.

We’re all in on impeachment, so we need your support to keep working.

implement all our ambitious plans?
