Hi,

In 1998, during my first run for public office, I beat a four-term incumbent to win a seat on Newark, New Jersey's Municipal Council.

But I wasn't supposed to win.

Nobody gave me a shot. With no money to air ads, we decided to run the campaign the only way we could: by running a grassroots campaign and talking to voters.

That's how we won. And that's how we'll flip the House of Delegates and Virginia Senate in just a few short weeks.

Will you join me in supporting the Democratic Party of Virginia? Chip in whatever you can to help VA Dems flip the General Assembly on November 5th.

I've been on the ground canvassing and let me tell you, Virginia is ready for change. In late September, I was in Woodbridge canvassing with Delegate Hala Ayala (HD-51) and the grassroots energy was massive!

But that's how change happens in America. It always comes from the grassroots.

We can turn the General Assembly blue for the first time in over twenty years, but to do that, we need to hit the pavement and organize everyone we possibly can. So I'm asking:

Can you pitch in $5, $15, or whatever you can right now to create monumental change?

Every great moment in American history has happened because people refused to wait for their nation to change and instead, decided to change their nation.

This is our moment. Let's not waste it.
