We lost Ruth Bader Ginsberg a year ago.
Now, overwhelmed by the Supreme Court's new conservative supermajority, too many Democrats are saying they wished RBG retired while Barack Obama was still president so that Obama could have nominated a liberal.
The sad truth is, these Democrats seem to have already forgotten who Ruth Bader Ginsberg was. RBG fought until the end to defend Roe v. Wade from right-wing assault. Her voice was instrumental to the fundamental SCOTUS protections that kept us safe during the autocratic Trump era.
Let's not rewrite history, folks. RBG was right to keep fighting until just too soon. 100% of the blame for today's SCOTUS lies with the Republican Party's longtime cynical power-crazed Senate Boss Mitch McConnell.
Question: Who prevented Barack Obama from fairly replacing the late Antonin Scalia on the Court with voting rights leader Merrick Garland?
Answer: Mitch McConnell.
Question: Who is already gearing up to warp the Senate into a primarily single-issue chamber geared toward stonewalling the Biden-Harris administration's historic SCOTUS reform that will finally restore civility and nonpartisanship to the Judicial branch?
