It's Deb and Jerry Finkenauer – Abby's parents. We wanted to take a minute to tell you a bit more about our daughter – and why we know she's going to defeat Sen. Chuck Grassley and become Iowa's next senator.

You see, Abby is a fighter. And there's no one she'll fight harder for than her family and her community. She won election to the Iowa House of Representatives at only 25 years old – and then four years later became the youngest woman to flip a U.S. House seat from Republican to Democratic. All along the way, she's been fighting for working families like ours.

Trust us on this: When Abby faces opposition, she doesn't falter. Instead, she toughens her resolve and works until she's found a path forward. And we are so proud to have stood by her through it all: knocking doors, passing out yard signs, and even baking nearly 1,000 cupcakes for a fish fry with seven presidential candidates. (Although most of the credit goes to Deb on that one!)

With all that resolve, and the fact that The Des Moines Register reported 64% of Iowans are ready for someone other than Sen. Grassley, we know our daughter has what it takes to win this race. But with the Senate Republicans' campaign arm already having pulled in $76 million this year, Abby simply cannot compete without the grassroots support of people like you.

We've seen how things work in Iowa, friend. The GOP will pour millions into our state to keep it red and stop Abby. We can fight back, and win, with your support.
