John,
Cori isn't a career politician, and she certainly didn't run for office for the money or fame. Cori is in Congress for one reason and one reason only — to serve the people of St. Louis and communities like it.
John, Cori decided to run for office after marching in the streets for 400 days demanding justice for Michael Brown and not being represented by the very people elected to do so. Now that she's in office, she's shining light on the experiences of so many everyday Americans telling her stories of having an abortion, being evicted, and raising two children.
Cori wasn't elected to Congress to sit on the sidelines. She was elected to Congress to speak up for regular, everyday people and families and cause good trouble. That's why she is committed to organizing and legislating every day to make our country a better, more just place.
Cori is able to stay focused on working for St. Louis and communities like it instead of D.C. politics because of the generosity of grassroots supporters like you. Please, if you're with Cori in this movement, will you chip in $5, or whatever is meaningful to you, right now?
Ever since Cori's first day in office, she's led the charge to demand the change we deserve and to save lives. Check out just a few of our accomplishments so far:
✅ Cori introduced the Green New Deal for Cities with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to fund an expansive array of climate jobs and projects.
✅ Cori has co-sponsored important progressive legislation including Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, and the For the People Act.
✅ Cori led the movement to keep people housed with a rally outside of the Capitol for five days to call for an eviction moratorium extension and by introducing the Keeping Renters Safe Act.
✅ Cori transformed the future of public safety with the People's Response Act.
Plus earlier this month, Cori worked alongside the Congressional Progressive Caucus to ensure President Biden's agenda wouldn't be sabotaged by conservative Democrats. And this is just the beginning!
John, Cori needs this movement to have her back so she can keep her focus on working to transform our politics. Please, will you make a $5 donation right now to help re-elect Cori so she can continue boldly leading legislation like the Green New Deal for Cities, the People's Response Act, and the Keeping Renters Safe Act?
In solidarity,
Team Cori
