Hey John,

The 2020 election was almost exactly a year ago, but the Big Lie is very much alive and well and worming its way into the 2022 midterms.

Just a few days ago, Trump himself proclaimed that “If we don’t solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020. . . Republicans will not be voting in ’22 or ’24. It is the single most important thing for Republicans to do.”

Look, folks, the only reason that the Big Lie is still a menace to our democracy is because of Republicans like Scott Franklin who voted to overturn a free and fair democratic election.

Let’s make sure that Franklin feels the consequences of his attempt to disenfranchise 81+ million voters.

Even worse, it’s not like House GOP members are owning up to their catastrophic decision to support Trump’s lies — they’re doubling down. Last weekend, Steve Scalise, the #2 Republican in the House, refused to say that the 2020 election was legitimate. And Scott Franklin’s silence speaks for itself.

The people spreading these lies are gutless, and are actively putting our democracy on the brink of something we really don’t want to even imagine.

Protecting our democracy — the very core of who we are as a country — should be the absolute bare minimum we expect from our elected representatives. Scott Franklin has utterly failed us on that count. The people of FL-15 deserve better. Our parents and friends who live here deserve better. Hell, the entire country deserves better.

Help me kick Scott Franklin out of Congress. That’s it. That’s the ask.
