Friend,

The GOP candidate for Virginia’s governor, Glenn Youngkin, is showing his true colors. In the past two weeks alone, Youngkin has spoken at an anti-LGBTQ+ and anti-choice event,[1] attended a festival aimed at mobilizing far-right extremists,[2] and appeared on a radio show with former Trump aide Sebastian Gorka, who is infamously connected to neo-Nazi groups.[3]

The more we learn about him, the clearer it becomes that Virginia’s 2021 election has the potential to be a watershed moment for the extreme Far Right in our country. That’s why we need people to pitch in nationwide and help keep Virginia blue.

With voting already underway, we need your help to make sure that every progressive voter in Virginia casts their vote by November 2!

This year's Virginia election will have major implications for next year’s national midterms. A bellwether for the national political climate, Virginia has long been critical in proving the popularity of progressive policies and the national shift towards a more progressive electorate. We must keep Virginia blue not only to ensure that our values continue to be represented nationwide, but also to turn back the extreme far-right tide of Trumpism that is flooding other state legislatures.

If recent polling is any indication, it’s this kind of voter outreach that’s going to be CRUCIAL to electing progressive champions all the way down the ballot in Virginia. Polling continues to be extremely tight, so please make some time in the next week to volunteer to get out this critical vote!

RSVP now to volunteer to get out the progressive vote in Virginia’s 2021 election! >>

Radical Right extremists are trying to turn back the clock on a century of advances in civil rights, women’s rights, workers’ rights, the social safety net and more… they’re waging an all-out assault on the fundamental pillars of our country – democracy, checks and balances, a fair and independent judicial branch, and core values like fairness, equality, and justice for all.

People For is fighting back every day with:

✔ Grassroots organizing
✔ Lobbying and advocacy
✔ Research and education
✔ Voter mobilization
✔ And more…

But we can’t do this vital work without the robust grassroots financial support of our members and activists.
