Dear John,

What does a Freedom Champion actually do to help animals?

To date, we have 181 Freedom Champions who have joined our charity. These are animal advocates who give a special monthly donation to help animals in need.
By giving a monthly gift, a Freedom Champion makes sure that action can be taken at a moment’s notice. When a new campaign breaks, their reliable donation means we can be there to take action and rally our supporters to fight for animal rights.

A Freedom Champion also makes sure that the essentials are always covered, like the tools we use to campaign for animals such as computers, phones, travel costs and much more.

Our Freedom Champions have been crucial allies in the campaign to end wild animals circuses in the UK. Alongside those of us who protested on the ground outside circuses, who lobbied politicians and governments, and who went undercover to expose cruelty... our Freedom Champions were there too, in the background, fueling the fight.

That is the power of becoming a Freedom Champion. When you join with others your small action can have a big impact for animals.

Like Jo, by choosing to become a monthly donor you can choose to give a donation spread over the year. As much as you can spare, it all adds up when you join your gift with those of our other Freedom Champions.

Your amazing monthly gift will power:
1. INVESTIGATION - You will fuel undercover investigations and groundbreaking research, ensuring that no animal’s suffering is allowed to remain hidden
2. EDUCATION- You will drive impactful, wide-reaching campaigns and outreach work that is vital in ending the cruelty of captivity
3. PROTECTION - You will make sure we can be there for each and every animal who needs us, fighting for the freedoms they so deserve.

How can one person change the world for animals?

They don't need to be big and powerful, they don't need to be rich and famous. They simply need to be part of a movement of like-minded people, who take action to fight for animal freedom. ([link removed])

By joining our individual voices, joining our individual actions (no matter how small), THEN we can all have an amazing impact for animals.

That is exactly what it means to be a Freedom Champion.

So I hope you enjoy 'meeting' some of our Champions today and that you will consider joining them, so we can be stronger together for animals.

Until all are free,

Nicola O'Brien
Fundraising and Communications Manager

P.S. Our amazing Freedom Champions are people just like you! They want to free animals from suffering in captivity and create a world without cages. Meet more of our Champions here and join them today by setting up a monthly gift. Thank you. ([link removed])
