DES Partners With Utility Providers To Distribute $36 Million For Households In Need ([link removed])
Through the Emergency Rental Assistance Program, the Arizona Department of Economic Security is partnering with Arizona Public Service, Salt River Project, Unisource Energy Tucson Electric Power and Southwest Gas to ensure the funding will apply directly to customer accounts once their program eligibility is confirmed. After this initial pilot, DES intends to expand this payment model to all utility providers statewide.
Governor Ducey Announces Additional $5 Million For Small Businesses ([link removed])
Governor Ducey launched the Back to Work Small Business Rehiring and Retention Program in August and has invested a total of $10 million in the program to support small, locally-owned businesses. Recipients of the first round of funding have been identified and distribution of funds has begun.
