Time Running Out for Democratic Deals

Speaker Pelosi has set an October 31 deadline for passage of both the bipartisan infrastructure bill and a Democratic-only social spending and climate bill. Meanwhile, President Biden’s ghoulishly low approval ratings could fall even further as the President faces a 13-year high in inflation, spookily surging oil prices that are driving up prices at the pump, and a global supply chain slowdown that threatens a Nightmare Before Christmas.

The last few months have been a rocky horror for the President. He should take a much-needed win right now by getting Pelosi to call a standalone vote on infrastructure before the witching hour on All Hallows’ Eve.
