Today marks the end of Hispanic Heritage month, and as a Latino, I wanted to call your attention to a few things.

Before I do that -- 16% of the U.S. population is Hispanic, but only 1% of all local and federal elected officials are Hispanic. We need to change that.

So I need to ask for your support. Not only am I running to represent my district, but I am running to increase representation for my Latinx community. Will you consider chipping in $3 to help me do that?

Here’s what I wanted you to know:

   1) Hispanic Americans are 6.9 times more likely to die from COVID-19 than non-Hispanic whites.
   2) The average Hispanic American median household income was $55,658 compared to $71,644 for non-Hispanic white households.
   3) Hispanic Americans have the LARGEST uninsured rates of any ethnic group in the United States.
   4) 70.5 percent of Hispanics in comparison to 93.3 percent non-Hispanic whites had a high school diploma or higher.

It’s clear that the Hispanic community is overlooked and under-represented. We need politicians who understand the Hispanic and Lantinx community so we can make significant impacts and changes to disparities like these.

So I am asking for your support to help me win CA-21 and represent my district and community. Will you consider chipping $3 to help me reach my 200 donor goal this weekend?
