On *Monday,*?Governor Mike DeWine visited Richmond Heights Secondary School where he met with students, teachers, and administrators and learned about the school?s Aviation Career Exploration Program for students in grades 7-12.

On *Tuesday [ [link removed] ]*, Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted joined with Amazon, the largest Internet-based retailer in the United States, to announce Amazon's plans to build a new one-million-square-foot fulfillment center in Canton.?
The center will open in 2022 at 3550 Columbus Road NE in Canton and will create 1,000 new jobs, paying an average starting wage of $18 per hour and providing comprehensive health benefits, paid time off, up to 20 weeks fully paid parental leave, and more for employees and their families. Amazon cited a talented workforce, welcoming community, and highly developed customer service logistics among its reasons for choosing Canton.
?Amazon has been a strong partner in Ohio, investing billions in?cloud?data centers, advanced distribution facilities, air service infrastructure, and more while creating over 41,000 jobs that provide healthcare and tuition assistance,? said Governor DeWine. ?We look forward to working with Amazon as it continues to demonstrate its confidence?in Ohio?s value proposition, premier location, and outstanding talent.?
?Ohio has proven once again that we can compete and win when it comes to attracting major new projects,? said Lt. Governor Husted. ??Amazon will see that the people of the Canton area are hard-working, and when you give them an opportunity, they will do a great job.?

Governor Husted, Director of InnovateOhio, and Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) Registrar Charlie Norman joined representatives from Meijer and Intellectual Technology, Inc. to announce the pilot launch of new BMV Express self-service kiosks to better serve Ohio drivers. Featured at nine deputy registrar and retail locations across the state, the new system will allow customers the ability to conveniently renew their vehicle registrations at the self-service kiosk. The announcement was made at the Meijer in Fairfield, where a kiosk is located.?
?InnovateOhio?s goal is to change the culture of state government so that every service is designed with the customer in mind,? said Lt. Governor Husted. ?The service announced today offers a convenient way for Ohioans to quickly and easily renew their vehicle registration so they can continue on with the rest of their day.?

Governor Mike DeWine and Ohio EPA Director Laurie A. Stevenson announced on *Friday* [ [link removed] ] that $3.7 million in H2Ohio [ [link removed] ]grants will go to several local communities to help improve drinking water quality and to repair or replace aging water and wastewater infrastructure.
"Many of these systems have degraded to the point that they're a threat to public health because improvement projects are often much too expensive for our smaller communities to handle on their own," said Governor DeWine. "All of these projects are long overdue, and we're excited to contribute toward improving water service and quality of life in the areas of the state where H2Ohio's help is needed the most."
