Their analysis says that independent voters and Democratic base voters (like younger voters and voters of color) both need to turn out for Democrats to win in 2022.
We think they’re pretty spot on. To win, we need candidates who both excite our base and can convince others that a new kind of politics is possible. We need candidates whose lived experience lets them connect with young voters and voters of color, and whose ideas will bring welcome progress to their communities.
