When I was elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, Harrisburg was gridlocked. Republicans emerged with a majority despite receiving less than 45% of the vote and they were set on ignoring my community’s needs in favor of partisan games.

I was ready to forge ahead through the muck, but I soon learned Representative Brian Sims was a fighter and I was lucky to have him on my side. Brian brings his lived experiences and empathy to the floor of the House. He’s thrown his support behind bills to address systemic racism, ease student loan forgiveness, and restore voting rights to the formerly incarcerated members of our communities.

Our next Lt. Governor will preside over our Senate.
