Did you know that according to a study conducted in 2020, more than half
of the lawmakers in Congress are millionaires?

While this isn't entirely surprising, it's a perfect example of the fact
that many of the lawmakers in Congress are out of touch with the reality
that folks in the United States face on a daily basis.

Many of us don't have millions of dollars to fall back on, and we're
looking to our lawmakers to do one thing, especially while we have control
of the House, the Senate, and the White House: deliver for the people.

But many of our lawmakers — many of them with personal wealth in the
millions of dollars! — just can't seem to understand this.

Thankfully, Jamaal understands that Congress must show the people that
they can deliver. That is exactly why he is such an important voice to
have in Washington, especially as we hold the line against establishment
Democrats who attempt to pass the infrastructure bill without the Build
Back Better Act.

Growing up, Jamaal was raised in a single parent household with union
benefits. He spent over two decades as a New York City public school
educator in underrepresented and marginalized communities.

Jamaal isn't wealthy, nor does he have a net worth in the millions. And he
decided to run for Congress because he understands how urgent it is that
we find solutions to the problems that we face — both in New York's 16th
District and elsewhere.

Since he joined Congress, Jamaal has been tirelessly advocating and
legislating to make real progress on issues of consequence in all our
communities. But this work wouldn't be possible without your
