John,

This isn’t a typical email we usually send, but stay with us. Normally we read a headline about GOP groups buying attack ads and we go “ugh, here they come again for Josh”.

But we just saw something kind of interesting: one of the biggest attack groups that was running ads in our district earlier this year decided NOT to include Josh in their second round of attacks. That sounds like pretty good news to us!

Our plans to scare them off with the sheer number of our grassroots supporters who chip in a few bucks at a time seems to be... working! All that said, we may have dodged a bullet but we know they’ll be back to attack us very soon. The GOP knows Josh is the most endangered Democrat in California and their top flip opportunity to make Kevin McCarthy the next Speaker of the House. So, we celebrated this little win, and then we got back to work.

Can you please chip in any amount right now to make sure the Republicans in D.C. know we’re not letting our foot off the gas to protect this seat just because they didn’t include us in this latest advertising campaign?
