I got to spend a lot of time on the farm this week before hitting the road to meet with folks across the state. We've been getting ready for winter, changing oil and servicing the truck. Other parts of the state got hit with some moisture, but we didn't, and if this drought continues that will have a negative impact on next year’s harvest.

I love spending time here — and it always reminds me of why I got into this fight in the first place.

I’m not the kind of guy you’d expect to see in Congress. I still get $12 haircuts. At home on the farm, I butcher my own meat. I didn’t run for office to make friends with lobbyists or cozy up to special interests — I ran because I didn’t see anyone in our government sticking up for dirt farmers like me.

I’m here to deliver for Montanans, from taking action on climate change, to investing in education and expanding access to health care.

But with the GOP spreading reckless lies and pulling partisan stunts, they’re choosing to play political football instead of looking out for everyday folks like you and me.
