Our mid-month fundraising deadline is at midnight and we're not quite where we need to be to hit our goal. But the good news is that if every person who reads this email chips in an average of $12, we'll be able to hit our goal before midnight. Will you pitch in $12 right away?
Now, let me explain why our mid-month goal is so important. Extreme national Republicans have made it clear defeating me is their top priority in 2022. They've already rallied behind my opponent, Derek Schmidt, and they're keeping a close eye on our campaign looking for any sign of weakness -- especially now that a recent poll shows us with a slim lead.
If our extreme opponent and his dark money supporters defeat us in 2022, we risk saying goodbye to all the progress we've made during my administration. Make no mistake, Schmidt would take our state back to the dark days of the Brownback administration. We need to remain prepared for anything they throw our way.
