Hi John,
Run for Something doesn't just elect young progressives -- we are committed to electing
diverse young progressives.
This means finding candidates from under-represented groups and helping them run and win against all odds, because when they do, not only do our leaders
look more like the people they represent, they fight for and enact more inclusive policies.
And while we are committed to doing this work every day, months like Latinx Heritage Month are a good moment to send some targeted support.
John, today is the last day of Latinx Heritage Month, and we have 32 Latinx candidates you can directly support. Can you split a donation of $5 or any amount you can to help elect these diverse young progressives?
Here's why Run for Something is so passionate about this:
Currently, Latinx people make up about 18% of the population yet only hold 1.2% of local, state, and federal offices. This means they simply don't have a voice in many areas of government.
It's how we end up with an educational system that doesn't meet the needs of Latinx students or parents, less access to health care for Latinx families, and an immigration system that tears families apart.
That's why for Latinx Heritage Month, we're uplifting the campaigns of Latinx, Hispanic, and Latino-identifying young progressives running to strengthen, lead, and push us on a path towards progress.
Split a donation of $5 or more between 32 of our endorsed Latinx candidates and Run for Something before Latinx Heritage Month is over.
Thanks,
Amanda Litman
