2. CAROLINA JOURNAL: Republicans denounce task force for chiding parents over school board meetings

"The N.C. Task Force for Safer Schools is finalizing a statement chiding parents for strongly voicing their views and at times disrupting recent school board meetings.

The disruptions have come from parents — across the state and nation — concerned about school policies on everything from COVID-19 vaccination and masking to controversial instruction on race and gender issues."

3. NC VALUES: 🏛 Calling All North Carolina Attorneys

In July 2021, the State Bar Council adopted a proposed change to the Preamble of the Rules of Professional Conduct that would hinder the ability of many attorneys to practice law in accordance with their faith.

The Supreme Court of North Carolina has the ultimate say in whether or not to change the State Bar Rules, and is now considering whether to adopt this change.

The proposed change would add the words “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” to the Preamble of the Rules of Professional Conduct, thus creating a protected status for these controversial behaviors. Unfortunately, this addition would function as a Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI) amendment. This means that the State Bar would have the ability to force attorneys to accept policies that conflict with their sincerely held religious and moral beliefs about marriage and sexuality.

4. NC VALUES: We stand with Lt. Governor Mark Robinson

In the past couple days, the media and far-left activists have dragged our Lt. Governor through the mud and have called for his resignation.

Why? Because of a clip video where he talks about removing the sexualization of children from our classrooms.

In his latest video response below, he makes his current stance clear:

"I will not back down. . . . the idea that our children should be taught about concepts of transgenderism, and be exposed to sexually explicit material in the classroom, is abhorrent."

We agree, and we stand with our Lt. Governor Mark Robinson and his protection of North Carolina families.

If you support our Lt. Governor, would you consider helping get his story out there by liking and sharing this video?

5. THE NORTH STATE JOURNAL: Orange County Public Schools board chair ejects parents, speakers from meeting

"At the direction of the Orange County Public Schools board of education chair, parents and members of the public were ejected from the Oct. 11 board meeting by Orange County sheriffs’ deputies.

The reason? Apparently speaking about concerns and topics that were not on the meeting agenda.
Attendees were also subjected to metal detectors and told they could not congregate on the premises of A.L. Stanback Middle School where the meeting was being held.

Several times during the meeting, Mackenzie was heard to say, 'you cannot talk on that topic,' before motioning for deputies to remove the person. Loud booing throughout the auditorium followed."

WEEKLY PRAYER: LIBERTY

LORD, you have blessed us with a spiritual liberty that is so wonderful and beyond description, that it can only be understood through experiencing a life-giving relationship with Christ. However, we also recognize that in your grace, you have blessed our country with a political liberty that enables us to openly proclaim the experience of a life lived in the freedom of the Gospel.

LORD, as individuals and as a nation, may we never take the inalienable right of religious freedom for granted. Right now our country has faced a rapid increase in the number of attacks made against this cherished right. We have seen groups across our public arena increase in boldness and frequency their smears against religious liberty. They claim it is bigotry, when we know it is the security of the greatest of all possible loves.

Be with your people and our country as it continues to protect the constitutional right protected by our nation's Founders. Be with legislators and the Supreme Court, as they determine through their actions the protection of this particular and fundamental freedom.

It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery." (Galatians 5:1)

"For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another." (Galatians 5:13)

"Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bondslaves of God." (1 Peter 2:16)

Amen
