Mapping cruelty
Hello John,
We may be some weeks away from the festive season, but the exploitation of animals for festive 'entertainment' has already begun. Right now, event organisers around the country are calling up cruel companies who 'hire' out animals like props, to appear at events in shopping malls, city centres, Christmas markets and on high streets.
Reindeer, camels, penguins, owls and other animals can be 'booked' for a local festive event, for a mere few hundred pounds. For the profit of these companies, the animals are forced to endure long hours on the road, to be hauled out at events, all to entertain crowds.
BUT with your help, work to end this cruelty has already begun.

For months we have been researching these events and contacting the organisers, asking them to cancel the animal exploitation from their event. Now as we are getting closer to the season, we are lining up protests with local people ready to take to the streets if these events go ahead.
NEW: We have built an interactive map of all of the events we have found.
By clicking on the map and completing the action form, you can send an email to every single event organiser, demanding they cancel this cruelty. One simple action can impact on so many animals: click below!

Last year a record number of events using animals were cancelled thanks to people like you! But as you can see, this cruelty is still widespread and there is so much work to do to free these animals.
So please take action today!
- Check out the map and send one quick email to ALL the event organisers
- On the map find an event local to you to hold a protest (order materials on our website)
- Donate to fight for animal freedom! Your donation will fund research, campaign actions, materials and investigations.
Please take action today, we are only weeks away from when the first event starts and we need to do all we can now to help these animals.
Thank you.
For the animals,
Nicola O'Brien
