Dear John,

I have a question for you . . .

What’s your choice for this year’s best conservative book?

Right now you can submit your nominations for ISI’s Conservative Book of the Year award ([link removed]) .

I’m asking you and other ISI faculty for your picks because you keep up with the literature and are thoughtful, discerning readers.

So which new title has caught your eye in 2021? Maybe it’s a book you have been discussing with your colleagues and recommending to your students.

You can make your nominations using this simple online form ([link removed]) .

The winning author will receive a $10,000 cash prize.

Recent winners of ISI’s Conservative Book of the Year award include Wilfred M. McClay for Land of Hope, Yoram Hazony for The Virtue of Nationalism, Rod Dreher for The Benedict Option, and Bradley J. Birzer for Russell Kirk: American Conservative. A distinguished panel of judges will select this year’s winner.

Please send in your ideas! Some thoughtful books have come out this year, and I don’t want to overlook any worthy contenders.
