Fighting Hunger on the World Stage
No Kid Hungry's Clay Dunn joined with actor Hugh Jackman to put
childhood hunger center stage at this year's Global Citizen
Festival in New York City. The festival, part of a worldwide movement
to end extreme poverty, drew tens of thousands to hear from world
leaders and celebrities -- and it aired live on MSNBC.
Jackman and Dunn used the occasion to announce a new pledge from No
Kid Hungry corporate partner Citi. The financial services firm used
the occasion to announce a commitment to connect hungry kids with 50
million more meals by the end of 2020.

Your Voice Has Power - Thank You for Lending It
Last month, we called on the No Kid Hungry community to speak out
against planned cutbacks in federal food programs for needy families
and children. You responded in droves. Thank you!
Your voices joined 70 mayors, 17 governors and 75,000 other concerned
Americans who demanded that food benefits stay intact.
This New York Times piece showcases the massive response on behalf of
hungry children and families.

Add Passion and Stir
A lasting end to childhood hunger will require us to confront poverty,
race and other systemic issues that fuel the hunger crisis. In his
most recent podcast, No Kid Hungry co-founder Billy Shore discusses
the nexus between hunger and racism with a prominent array of chefs,
activists and political leaders.
It's a 'best-of' compilation of powerful conversations going
back to the early days of the podcast and is not to be missed.
