Friend, The time to fix Illinois is now! The only thing standing between us and a better Illinois is JB Pritzker. To defeat Pritzker, we need a Republican candidate who can unite our party and get crossover votes. I am that candidate. When I ran against the former Lt. Governor in 2016 for State Senate, we got the crossover votes needed, winning by almost 22 points despite being significantly outspent. We received those crossover votes because voters trusted me and knew I would keep my promises to them. No one in this race has a stronger voting record when it comes to our 2nd Amendment, law enforcement, or fiscal responsibility. When I told my Senate district I would fight for them and their values, I did so. When I am your Illinois Governor, you will have a leader who understands you and the challenges you face. When I am your Governor, it will no longer be business as usual under the Capitol Dome—the days of special interest groups calling the shots will be over. Over the past several years, Illinois parents have seen governments infringe upon their ability to raise their children in the manner of their choosing. Too often, the Illinois House and the Illinois Senate act as if they are 118 and 59 member school boards, making curriculum decisions for school districts and passing unfunded mandates. The time has come to reset and readjust the relationship between the parents of Illinois and their government which is why a Parents' Bill of Rights is so needed.
