Dear John, Recently, I have been hearing from constituents that the news coming out of Congress sounds increasingly urgent and worrisome, but no forward motion actually seems to be taking place. I hear you, and I share your worries. The Build Back Better infrastructure plan is stalling out in the Senate while millions of Americans struggle to pay bills and stay afloat — and Republicans slash voting rights to block Democrats from ever having a chance like this again. Many legislative analysts hypothesize that the Build Back Better bill will not pass unless the filibuster is eliminated. This is a difficult decision, so I need to make sure I understand your priorities:
Thank you, John. I value your opinion highly and strive to do right by my constituents every day. Sincerely, Congressman Sanford Bishop
