Dear John

Happy Friday! I am excited to say that we have just one week to go before we will gather at the Brooklyn PTA Fun Run for Schools on Saturday 10/23 in Prospect Park! Please visit the registration site ([link removed]) now for details and sign up. The money we are raising for Title I schools comes from participant registration fees-- so the more of you that join us, the more money we will have for these schools. And if you cannot be there on the 23rd, you can still visit the registration site ([link removed]) to make a donation.

Additionally we need around 20 volunteers to help out on race day. This includes a few folks to help with pre-race activities like bib distribution. Volunteers would arrive at 8 AM to get started, but could finish up in time to participate in the run. We also need around 10 volunteers during the run to hand out water and stand along the route to ensure no one veers off course. These folks would arrive at 8 AM and stay throughout the run. If you would like to volunteer, please reach out to Lara Lai in my office at 718-499-1090 or [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) .

Looking at the first hint of color in the leaves and the crisp, clear weather forecast for the 23rd, I am optimistic that it will be a beautiful morning for a run/walk through Prospect Park for a good cause. I can’t wait to see you there!

Brad
