Monday, Rep. Elise Stefanik (NY-21) responded to news from the Biden Administration that DHS has been ordered to cancel all border wall contracts in Texas. The announcement came days after "DHS said it was bracing for up to 400,000 border apprehensions this month alone." Click here to read more. 

Also, Rep. Stephanie Bice (OK-05) visited the border wall in Del Rio, Texas. Rep. Bice depicted the wall as a chaotic environment where zero changes have been made to keep Americans safe.  Click below to watch the full interview. 

Tuesday, Sen. Joni Ernst (IA) and 15 other Republicans signed a letter to the Secretary of Homeland Security questioning the administration’s current procedures for holding and vetting thousands of Afghans flown out of Afghanistan in August. Click here to read more. 

“The Biden Administration’s security vetting procedures to clear Afghans entering the country remain unclear and incomplete, and, unless changed, are insufficient to preserve the safety of the American homeland.”

Wednesday, Rep. Nancy Mace (SC-01) responded to September reports showing inflation on the rise. Biden's economic crisis continues as Americans are now paying more for all consumer goods. Click here to learn more.

The New York Times: Democrats Scramble to Keep Immigration Overhaul Alive in Reconciliation Bill.  President Biden’s efforts to finally make progress on a comprehensive overhaul of the nation’s immigration system have been stalled by Republicans, blocked by courts and rejected for violating arcane Senate rules.

Fox News: Rep. Hinson slams Dems for ‘broken' budget process. In an appearance on "Fox News Live" Sunday, Republican Iowa Rep. Ashley Hinson, a member of the House Appropriations and Budget Committees, slammed Democrats over a "broken budget process" shortly after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said House Democrats will come to an agreement on their $3.5 trillion reconciliation package --- despite the massive differences between moderates and progressives. 

Fox Business: House Republicans assail Biden over 'anti-American energy policies' as gas prices surge. House Republicans slammed President Biden in a letter on Thursday for implementing what they described as "anti-American energy policies," including the White House’s recent request for OPEC+ nations to ramp up production to help combat a global fuel crisis.

The Missouri Times: Hartzler ends third quarter with $1.6M cash on hand.  “Vicky is a fighter and these latest totals reaffirm her fundraising strength and ability to connect with supporters across Missouri,” Mike Hafner, Hartzler’s campaign manager, said. “Vicky is the best-positioned candidate to take on Eric Greitens and deliver the commonsense conservative values and leadership that Missourians expect and deserve.”
