In life, we all deal with setbacks — some minor, and some that can seem almost impossible to bear.

But what I have learned throughout my recovery is that it’s not the setback that defines us, but how we respond.

I know it can feel frustrating to hear how many people are chipping in to help re-elect Mark and then wake up to hear the polls are still close and some outside group is attacking him with yet another multi-million dollar attack ad.

We all knew from the start that this was never going to be easy. Nothing worth it ever is. It’s true of my recovery, it’s true in this election, and I’m sure it’s true about something important in your life, as well.

But in all those things, we must consistently resist complacency and recommit ourselves to keep moving forward.

And that is why, with Mark’s mid-month fundraising drive ending at midnight, I am once again asking:

Can you please make a $3 contribution to Mark’s re-election before our mid-month fundraising drive comes to a close tonight? I would not ask if it were not so important. >>> [link removed]

Withstanding so many attacks from corporate special interests isn't easy. It takes courage. But supporters like you have given Mark and me the strength to move forward every step of the way. Thank you for that.
