As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, we know that at the core of protecting reproductive rights is the deep conviction to create a more just world and to elect a government where we are seen and where we are respected. Though the month is coming to a close, our work to elect more Latina leaders does not.

Leaders like Leader Melisa López Franzen, who just last month became the first person of color to lead one of Minnesota’s legislative caucuses, has made clear her priorities for fighting hard for a majority in the Minnesota Senate in 2022. We are motivated to work with her to make it happen.

Senator Patricia Torres Ray is a visionary leader and fierce advocate for action on climate change, equitable health policies for parents and their babies, and protections for our democracy and voting rights. This work has never been more urgent.

Mayor Maria Regan Gonzalez is a powerful, dedicated, and empowering leader for Richfield, prioritizing building up the next generation of leaders and fighting to always represent all of Richfield. This is real leadership.
