Hi,
Five years after the Paris Agreement went into effect, little has
been done to meet its goals.
According to the most recent IPCC report, climate change is
widespread, rapid, and intensifying. Despite international pledges to
keep global temperatures under 1.5 degrees above pre-industrial levels
of global heating, we’re at risk of reaching that temperature in the
near term. The only way to prevent reaching this limit is by
urgently stepping up our efforts, and pursuing the most ambitious
path.
EARTHDAY.ORG’s campaigns and programs work to Restore Our Earth
through climate education, outreach, and grassroots mobilization. Will you support this critical work and stand
up for the environment with a donation?
EARTHDAY.ORG’s mission is to diversify, educate, and activate the
environmental movement worldwide. Every year, we recruit people during
Earth Day, then activate our supporters to achieve global change.
Through in-person activations around the world and
far-reaching digital advocacy, we're making a difference in the fight
for the planet.
Earlier this month, we attended the Pre-COP, the meeting preceding
the Conference of Parties for the United Nations Framework Convention
on Climate Change. There we rallied educators, governments, NGOs, and
youth behind our demands for universal climate literacy. We’re
bringing that momentum to COP26 next month as an official observer and
participant to the UNFCCC. We’re making your demands directly
and in-person to world leaders, and we need your support to make the
campaign a success.
We’re facing a code red for humanity and we don’t have time
to lose. We face corporate and political opposition around
every corner — but the power of your grassroots voices demanding
action can triumph against our enemies.
You are part of the movement and we can’t bring about the change we
need without your support. Amplify your impact with a donation for the
planet.
In solidarity,
Kathleen Rogers President
