Friends -- We’ve known all along that Republicans would try to use this year’s redistricting process to gerrymander themselves into unearned majorities for another ten years. And now that their first map proposals have been released, it’s clear that’s exactly what they’re doing:

Here’s where we are right now:

FIRST Republicans in Texas published a map that will increase the number of majority-white congressional districts, despite communities of color being responsible for nearly ALL of the state’s population growth!

THEN Georgia Republicans released a draft map that attempts to secure an additional seat for the GOP, despite the fact that Georgia is one of the most competitive and contested battleground states in the country.

NOW we’re working to fight back and expose these maps for what they really are: a direct assault on the will of the voters and a threat to the fabric of our democracy. And we URGENTLY need your support to keep fighting!
