Dear John,
Stop people from skipping work with your tax dollars.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is thinking about using more of your money to extend pandemic cheques that were always supposed to be temporary. You need to make sure that doesn’t happen.
You know Canada was built on hard work. And you know that if you pay people not to work, some of them won’t work. But that’s exactly what Trudeau is doing.
It’s one thing to have targeted programs for people who legitimately need help. But these temporary programs fire out millions of dollars every day with few safeguards to stop abuse. And businesses have been clear that these subsidies are making it harder to find workers.
Everywhere you look, small businesses have “now hiring” signs in their windows.
In fact, 43 per cent of small businesses have had difficulty hiring because some workers “would rather collect EI or other COVID-related benefits.” Nearly two thirds of hospitality businesses have experienced this challenge. You need to push Trudeau to get Canada working again.
The federal debt is more than $1 trillion. Your share of that debt is $30,000. You can’t afford to let Trudeau to keep paying people to stay home.
Make sure Trudeau rolls back the COVID-19 subsidies and gets people back to work.
You can push politicians to get Canada working again and stop paying people to skip work by signing the PETITION: [link removed] ([link removed])
Thanks for standing up for taxpayers – it’s making a difference!
Sincerely,
* Franco, Shannon, Todd and the rest of the CTF team.
