Hi Friends,

Big things are happening in the youth-led, climate rights lawsuit we support in Canada, La Rose v. Her Majesty the Queen

Recently seven organizations, from across Canada, submitted intervention briefs in support of the 15 youth plaintiffs and their landmark case. These briefs offer powerful insight into how the climate crisis affects Canadian youth from coast to coast, infringing on their human rights and cultural traditions, and why it is incumbent upon the court to hear and decide the youth’s constitutional claims.

Join us on Oct. 22nd to learn more about these powerful briefs - and the individuals and organizations behind them!

At 12pm Pacific / 3pm Eastern on Friday, October 22nd, we’ll gather online to discuss these intervenor briefs submitted in support of the youth plaintiffs, including why they are so significant and the court’s reaction to the briefs. We’ll also chat with some of the intervenors and one of the youth plaintiffs about how they feel about this important support from critical community partners. Lastly, we’ll go over a few ways you can support these brave Canadian youth!
