John, a record number of women left the workforce during the pandemic — rolling back our progress to bring more women into the workforce over the last several decades. This isn’t just a problem for women: It’s bad for our economy, which won’t recover without our addressing it.

Val has made it a priority to champion policies like raising the minimum wage, guaranteeing paid leave, making child care access universal, investing in the caregiving economy, and supporting women-owned businesses.

Val isn’t speaking theoretically about what might work — she’s drawing from what she knows is effective, from her experience as a physician of two decades, mom, public health expert, and six years as chair of one of Pennsylvania’s largest counties — where she successfully implemented policies like these to support families.

She’s ready to put Pennsylvania’s Senate seat to work for workers and families, but she’s counting on your help to raise the resources necessary to defeat her opponents backed by the GOP fundraising machine and flip this toss-up seat blue.
