Legislation to unfairly redistrict Arkansas’s congressional districts is about to become law. In short, it’s a partisan attack carried out by the AR GOP against voters across this state and Chris called it out perfectly.

If you agree that unfair redistricting has no place in Arkansas, can you sign our petition calling on Gov. Hutchinson to veto this partisan map?

For too long, politicians in the state legislature have put politics over representation. This map only goes to show just how brutal Republican attempts at stifling the will of voters has gotten and we’ll tell you why.

Folks who unfairly redistrict abide by two different methods: cracking and packing.

• Cracking is when the party in control splits up politically unfavorable voting groups amongst many different districts to drown out their vote.


• Packing is when the party in control combines politically unfavorable voting groups into a single district to avoid their influence reaching into other districts.

In this map, Arkansas Republicans have targeted Black and Latinx voters in Little Rock through the ‘cracking’ method we mentioned.

Does this seem as crazy and undemocratic to you as it does to us?
