John -

I was born in Milwaukee, in one of the most impoverished and incarcerated zip codes in the state. A community lacking resources, but brimming with joy, resilience, and hardworking, brilliant people.

My mom was a Milwaukee school teacher for 30 years, and my dad worked the 3rd shift at the General Motors plant. They were both active union members organizing for better wages and defending workers’ rights. Their example showed me the importance of working hard and fighting for opportunity for everyone.

My parents taught me the values of hard work, perseverance, and the importance of a good education. They also taught me that we can’t settle for what is – we have to reach for what can be.

That is why I'm running for U.S. Senate.

Tomorrow at midnight we face an important mid-month fundraising deadline. And we are relying on a large number of individual donations between now and the time the deadline ends.

Now, you know that I don't have huge amounts of personal wealth to fund this campaign. I am not accepting any corporate PAC money. That means I am counting on you, John.

So I'm asking you directly:

Can you please make a $3 contribution to our campaign before tomorrow at midnight? Your donation will help determine the success of our campaign.

Sadly, politicians like Senator Ron Johnson are standing in the way of progress. Johnson has repeatedly turned his back on Wisconsin, instead peddling wild conspiracy theories and cynical attacks that divide us.

But let's be clear: this campaign isn't just about defeating Ron Johnson. It is about expanding opportunity to everyone in Wisconsin and across the country, regardless of where they live or where they were born.

When things get tough, we shouldn’t lower our expectations. Instead of changing our dreams, we need to change the game.

In the U.S. Senate, I will be committed to taking on the existential threat of climate change, creating good-paying jobs, and ensuring health care is granted as a right to everyone. But I cannot do that alone – it is going to require all of us.

The only way we'll have the resources to build a winning campaign is from lots of people contributing what they can.

Make a $3 contribution to our campaign today ahead of tomorrow’s mid-month fundraising deadline.
