You’ve heard me talk a lot about our landmark climate bill, and I am excited to share good news! You’ll remember our FARM Act brings together groups like the League of Conservation Voters and the Almond Alliance to invest $2.5 billion to help farmers implement climate-friendly farming practices.
I’m thrilled because our efforts are picking up steam back home and were just covered on one of our biggest TV stations. We know that grassroots support is vital to applying pressure on Congress to actually act, so this is a big deal!
My community is proud to be the fruit and nut basket of the world, but severe droughts and extreme wildfires are an existential threat to our way of life. We have to involve agricultural communities like mine in the climate solutions before it’s too late. I’m proud to be leading this important fight, and I’m very excited to see it gaining such momentum back home and in DC.
