John, a breaking CBS News poll shows Democrat Terry McAuliffe and Trump-backed Glenn Youngkin locked in a dead heat in the Virginia governor’s race.

But here’s what’s shocking: the crosstabs also show Glenn Youngkin with a significant edge when it comes to supporter enthusiasm.

How can that be true, John?

Glenn Youngkin is a far-right culture warrior who’s been endorsed by Donald Trump six times. He’s running on Trump’s “big lie,” calling for the auditing of voting machines.

And it gets worse: at last night’s Trump rally for Youngkin, attendees pledged allegiance to a flag used in the deadly January 6th insurrection.

Later, Donald Trump phoned in and promised Youngkin would, "do anything we need him to do."

After Democrats worked so hard to vote Donald Trump out of office last year, it’s shocking that more Democrats aren’t fired up to stop a Trump acolyte.
