FDA Panel Recommends Moderna Booster for 65+
An independent advisory panel to the Food and Drug Administration on Thursday unanimously recommended a booster dose of the Moderna coronavirus vaccine for people 65 and older and adults who are at high risk of severe illness or are exposed at work, as the Washington Post reports.

Beirut Clashes
Armed clashes between sectarian militias briefly turned Beirut neighborhoods into a war zone on Thursday, killing six people and raising fears that new violence could fill the void left by the near-collapse of the Lebanese state, as the NYT reports.

Norwegian Attack Investigated
Norwegian authorities said Thursday they are investigating a bow-and-arrow attack that killed five people and injured two others as terrorism, and have charged a Danish suspect who had converted to Islam and been reported for radicalization, as the WSJ reports.
