Consider This: Pigs Are Like Dogs - Just Smarter

Pigs are considered one of the smartest animals in the world and they’re incredibly playful. In fact, they’re pretty much just like the dogs many of us care for in our homes (though pigs are actually smarter) — yet they’re confined, tortured, and slaughtered for food.
* Mother pigs form close bonds with their piglets, and even have a special grunt to tell them when it’s time to eat.
* They show physical affection, can recognize each other and have a variety of sounds for interacting.

It's truly a great injustice that animals are confined, tortured and slaughtered for food. Learn more ([link removed]) about how smart pigs really are.

Michelin-Starred Chef Turns His Back On Foie Gras
Classically trained French chef Alexis Gauthier has turned his back on foie gras. At its peak, Gauthier's restaurant was serving 20 kilos of foie gras a week. He says, "I’d tricked myself into believing that it wasn’t all that bad. Until, one day, animal activists protested outside of my restaurant...When I eventually gave in to watching their footage I was repulsed by what I witnessed." So he created a plant-based alternative ([link removed]) and now works with Animal Equality UK to ban foie gras in the UK.

Our 2009 investigation at New York's Hudson Valley Foie Gras, the nation’s largest foie gras facility, documented workers committing torturous acts of cruelty against the ducks there. Learn more about our investigation here. ([link removed])
