I've been getting hourly updates from my team at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, and the most recent update they passed along raised alarms. We are very close to our mid-month fundraising deadline, and we are still coming up $12,354 short of what we need to protect our Democratic Senate majority and keep Mitch McConnell from ever seeing the title "Majority Leader" again.

I really can't sugarcoat the reality of what we're looking at, friend: The Senate control we worked so hard to win back last year could be gone by next year if we don't have the resources to compete. After all, Mitch McConnell only needs to flip one seat to retake the majority.

Right now, my incredible colleagues such as Mark Kelly in Arizona, Reverend Raphael Warnock in Georgia, Maggie Hassan in New Hampshire and Catherine Cortez Masto in Nevada are locked in battleground races that will decide who holds the majority. We can't let them down.

Right now, my Democratic colleagues and I are up against tens of millions in spending from right-wing super PACs and Republican dark-money groups. And, although it pains me to say it, the Senate Republican campaign has outraised us. That's why missing these grassroots fundraising goals will jeopardize our ability to compete, win and defend our majority – so I'm personally asking you to help me make up this shortfall before it's too late.

With the Senate majority at stake, please rush a donation of $5 or more now. Whatever you pitch in today will help us make up this fundraising shortfall and ensure we can keep Senate control away from Mitch McConnell.
