Join the fight for voting rights: NewDems are leading the fight to defend our democracy by passing the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act through the House last month, which would restore the full protections of the 1965 Voting Rights Act and outlaw racially discriminatory voting practices.
Inspired by Trump’s Big Lie and voter fraud conspiracies, more than 400 bills aimed at restricting voting access have been introduced in GOP-led legislatures in 2021.
Not only do these bills erode the right to vote, but these thinly veiled voter suppression bills will make it that much harder for Democrats to win and compete in competitive districts in 2022. We need to take action now to ensure that every single American can make their voices heard in the midterm elections.
