I wanted to take a second and explain why our deadlines matter so much, and (full disclosure) hopefully convince you to pitch in before our mid-month deadline expires on Saturday. [[link removed]?]

Our finance team uses deadlines like these to determine the exact amount of money we need to raise in order to keep our campaign running.

In this final stretch, those deadlines are more important than ever. We are running TV ads and working to reach voters in every corner of the state, and that’s expensive . We’re scaling up our grassroots organizing operation, so our organizers can talk to as many voters as possible and make sure they’ve got a plan to get to the polls. All of this takes resources — and if we don’t hit our goals, we’ll have to scale back or slow down. At this point, with so much on the line in this election, it’s not an option we want to consider.

So please, chip in ahead of Saturday’s mid-month deadline. We can’t afford for you to sit this one out.
